Workshop-within-a-workshop on Cyanobacterial Annotation Tools
There will be a special session for learning how to use IMG-ER for the annotation of cyanobacterial genomes, including genome sequences that become available as part of a major ongoing collaboration between the PCC and the JGI.*
(*To see the genomes currently in the queue for sequencing go to http://www.jgi.doe.gov/genome-projects and search using PCC-GEBA as "any text")
Proposed Sessions Include:
- Light Harvesting, Pigments and Antenna Systems
- Secondary Metabolism
- Photosynthetic and Respiratory Metabolism
- Hydrogen and Nitrogen Metabolism
- Cell Development and Differentiation
- Stress Metabolism
- Genomics, Bioinformatics and Diversity
- Bioengineering in Cyanobacteria
